Silenced.

I grew up prohibited from speaking. In my family, that was only for adults. My opinions, aspirations or ambitions were considered irrelevant or invaluable because I was a child. I grew up knowing that children were not allowed to speak. What I had to say wasn’t important, at home, at school, anywhere. So, I grew up silent. 

Although I majored in journalism and mass communication from an Ivy league university, I still wasn’t able to raise my voice with power and conviction. I‘d developed the habit of remaining silent, keeping my thoughts to myself, thus, I couldn’t convey my vision and dreams, my skills or what my own business stands for with the world. I could, however, write it. I was good on paper– better yet, I’m excellent on paper. But being a good writer alone never took me where I wanted to go, it never took me where I belonged. I missed SO many opportunities, I lost trust and credibility several times and I can’t begin to tell you the frustration that came with it, the shame and the pain. I was living in mediocrity due to my inability to use my voice effectively– and I knew deep down that I didn’t deserve it. I knew I was made for excellence. I soon began to feel cognitive dissonance between my calling and the work I was doing, thus I quickly sat down and this thought came to me: “everything I desire is on the other side of a conversation.”

• Do I want to raise capital? I need to ask for it!

• Do I want to launch a new career? I need to talk about it!

• Do I want to share my message with the world? I need to speak up for it!

See what I mean? I understood that being able to effectively communicate my ideas, my messages and my dreams can literally transform my life. So I made a choice. The choice to step into my calling. The choice to say YES to the future I want to create for myself, my loved ones, and thousands of people all over the world. I embarked on the journey of training myself to speak with passion, confidence and clarity -- whether I’m engaging with clients, prospects, family or peers. And do you know what?

I’VE CRACKED THE CODE : Powerful, effective and inspiring communication is NOT a talent. It’s a SKILL anyone—even you—can learn. I learned the success-driven speaking and marketing strategies that are working.

Communication House comes in because during my years of FEAR to raise my voice, I realized that I wasn’t the only one in that situation, even the professionals who didn't panic to speak failed at doing so PROPERLY. I have seen founders, professional managers, team leaders, supervisors, presenters– including my own partner– and myself, with grandiose ideas, visions and dreams for what their brand should deliver, but when it comes to communicating this story via their online channels, presentations, or on stage the message is confusing, ambiguous and inconsistent. While every person or business has a story to tell, too many fail at doing so with a business communication that is clear, captivating and effective. ​

Communication House is here to aid ALL of us.
